Dear Editor,
My name is Darell Gallow. As a graduate of Ville Platte High, I was very disturbed to hear the news of the decision to possibly close and not rebuild a high school for the parish. Of course, it’s an easy decision for the public officials to simply say there’s nothing they can do, but their decision could really have a bad effect on the community. I recently saw the town of Jennings, a smaller town than Ville Platte, build a new high school for their community. If it’s possible for them, then I’m certain there’s something our public officials can do to keep Ville Platte the improving, successful town it has been with a new high school of the great intelligent students of Ville Platte, Louisiana.
Thanks for your time,
Darell J. Gallow
