Couple exchange vows

St. Pius Catholic Church in Lafayette was the setting for an evening, double-ring ceremony uniting Kelli Lane Manuel and Kyle Paul Taquino in Holy Matrimony.

The ceremony was held on November 14 at 7 p.m. with Fr. Steve LeBlanc officiating.

The bride is the daughter of Becky Manuel of Eunice and Blair Manuel of Baton Rouge. The groom is the son of Weldon Taquino of Cypermort Pointe, LA, and Grace Taquino of Lafayette. Pam Fontenot served as lector during the ceremony.

Ushering guests to their appointed seats were Alex Miller and Jacob Bergeron, both of Eunice.

The bride, given away by her father, was radiant in a strapless ivory gown with a champagne trim and sash. The hemline of the dress was a multi-layered creation accented with a small train.

Her headpiece was an ivory tulle veil with champagne trim.

She carried a hand-held bouquet of calla lilies and red-tipped roses wrapped with a dark chocolate ribbon and tied with a blue handkerchief which belonged to her late grandfather, L.G. Miller of Eunice.

Serving as Matron of Honor was Jessica Manchester of Lafayette, sister of the bride.

Bridal attendants were Ashley Miller of Lafayette, sister of the bride; Leah LeBlanc of Youngsville, sister of the groom; Kristen Andrepont of Carencro, friend of the couple; and Traci Carr of Spring, Texas; friend of the couple. Junior Bridesmaid was Vivian Miller of Eunice, godchild of the bride.

The attendants wore their choice of dress style in deep chocolate with a champagne trim. They carried a golden brown long stemmed magnolia accented with a deep chocolate and champagne ribbon.

Serving as flower girl was Josie Andrepont of Carencro, daughter of Beau and Kristen Andrepont, godchild of the groom.

Serving as ring bearer was Copeland Miller, son of Lee and Aimee Miller of Eunice.

Best Man was Mark Miller of Youngsville.

Groomsmen included Beau Andrepont of Carencro, friend of the couple; Colby Albarado of Lafayette, friend of the couple; Chad Taquino of Youngsville, brother of the groom; and Billy Meehan of Canada, friend of the groom.

The groom wore a black tuxedo with a matching deep champagne vest and tie. The groomsmen were attired in black tuxedos with a matching deep chocolate vest and tie.

Immediately following the ceremony, a reception was held at the Magnolia Court.

The couple took a honeymoon trip to Tahiti.

The bride is a graduate of St. Edmund High School and Lafayette General Medical Center LPN program. She is currently employed as an LPN in Lafayette.

The groom is a graduate of Comeaux High School and USL with a degree in Business. He is employed in the oilfield industry in Lafayette.

The couple reside in Lafayette.
