Erin Leigh Cart of Iota will become the bride of Blake Anthony Cuccio of Crowley during a six-thirty evening wedding ceremony on Saturday, April 11, 2009 at the Wolff Ballroom Courtyard in Washington, with Rev. Randy Trahan officiating the exchange of wedding vows.

The bride-elect is the daughter of Sheila Cart of Iota and the late Stanley Cart. She is the granddaughter of Harvey and Anna Hebert of Egan, Robert E. Cart of Iota and the late Marja Nell Cart. She is a 2002 graduate of Iota High School, 2006 graduate of the University of Louisiana at Lafayette where she attained a bachelor of arts degree in interpersonal and organizational communications and will receive her certification in secondary education for speech and English in May of this year. She is currently employed with the Diocese of Lafayette as a language arts teacher at St. Francis School in Iota.

The prospective groom is the son of Christopher and Janet Cuccio of Rayne. He is the grandson of Eunice Guidry of Rayne, the late August Guidry, Mr. and Mrs. Charles Cuccio of Crowley, and JoAnn Huval of Broussard.

He is a 2003 graduate of Notre Dame High School of Acadia Parish, a 2007 graduate of the University of Louisiana at Lafayette with a bachelor of arts degree in interpersonal and organizational communications, and is currently employed as an electrical contractor with Chris’ Electrical Services, Inc. in Lafayette.

Following their wedding, the couple plans to reside in Crowley.
