Feds arrest three residents

Two Erath men and an Abbeville man were three of 17 men who were arrested and charged with different federal and state criminal charges involving drugs, and firearm violations, announced the United States Attorney for the Western District of Louisiana.

The Vermilion Parish Metro Nacotics Task helped the U.S. Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA) nd the Lafayette Parish Metro Narcotics Task Force in making the arrests.

Demetrio Rega;ado amd Jopse Luis Regalado of Erath were arrested.

Also arrested was Maria Guadalupe Regalado-Otero of Abbeville.

The Regalados and Otero were charged with conspiracy to possesses with intent to distribute methamphetamine and cocaine and possession to distribute those drugs.

Otero was also charged with carrying a firearm during and in relation to a drug trafficking crime.
