Rayne police officers arrested Joshua Ledet, a 23-year- old white male, who resides at 1074 Roy Melancon Road, Breaux Bridge, for possession of schedule 1: Ectasy, Possession of Marijuana and Possession of Schedule IV: Alprazolam. On April 20,officers stopped a vehicle in which Joshua Ledet was a passenger.
Officers observed Ledet acting very suspicious and from his appearance knew he was under the influence of a drug. Officers conducted a field investigation and located MDMA pills, marijuana and Alprazolam tablets. Ledet was booked into the Rayne Police Department and bond was set by Judge Jim Cunningham at $40,000 on the three drug charges.
Auino Yancy, a 21-year-old African-American male, who lives at 200 E Alexander Street, Lafayette, was arrested for a traffic light violation, operating a motor vehicle with a suspended driver’s license, Expired license plate, Obstruction of Justice, and Possession of a Legend Drug. His passenger, George Corlon, a 22-year-old African-American male, who resides at 323 Ena Street, Lafayette, was arrested for felony possession of marijuana, drug paraphernalia, and proceeds derived from drug transactions.
On April 18, Rayne police officers observed Yancy’s vehicle disobey a traffic light. When the officer attempted to stop the vehicle, the driver refused to comply. While fleeing from the officer, the driver, Yancy, discarded Soma tablets from the window. The passenger, Corlon, had marijuana and a digital scale in his possession. Both subjects were arrested and booked into the Rayne Police Department for the felony drug charges.
