The bride-to-be is the daugher of Janet McBride of Rayne and Dave Comeaux of Port Arthur, Texas. She is the granddaughter of Isabelle McBride of Rayne and the late Sidney McBride and Verna Comeaux of Rayne and the late Horace Comeaux.
The groom-elect is the son of Veronica and Alcide Duplichain, Jr. of Crowley. He is the grandson of Widley Istre and the late Lois Istre and the late Mr. and Mrs. Alcide Duplichain, Sr.
Serving as hostesses were bridesmaids Lauren Judice, Amanda Faulk, Tara Duplichain, Ashley Leger, Hollie Pitts, and Casey Gonsoulin.
The event had a black and white theme and guests were treated to an array of food items and beverages.
Honored as special guests were Isabelle McBride and Verna Comeaux, grandmothers of the bride-elect.
The couple has plans to wed during a 7 p.m. ceremony on Friday, June 26, 2009 at St. Joseph’s Catholic Church in Rayne, followed by a reception at the Ballroom in Rayne.
