Douglas and Monica Boone of Church Point are pleased to announce the engagement of their daughter, Elizabeth Monique, to Anthony Will Matte, son of Larry and Jackie Matte.

The couple will be united in Holy Matrimony on October 17, 2009 at Our Lady of the Sacred Heart Church in Church Point.

The bride-elect is the granddaughter of Robert and Anna Doucet of Mowata and Dudley Boone, Sr. of Church Point and the late Joyce Boone. She is the great-granddaughter of Ida Cormier of Rayne. Elizabeth is a 2007 graduate of Church Point High School and a 2009 graduate of T.H. Harris Tech College. She is currently employed in the medical office of Lafayette Heart Clinic.

The prospective groom is the grandson of the late Eldrige and Lorena Carriere and Gilbert, II, and Noemi Matte of Richard. He is a 2004 graduate of Eunice High School, and is currently employed by the Lafayette Parish Sheriff's Office.

After the wedding, the couple will reside in Church Point.
