Funeral services were held Tuesday, February 9, 2010, at 10:00 a.m. at St. Joseph Church in Rayne for Dean Belaire, 77, who passed away Friday, February 5, 2010, at 10:37 p.m. at Camelot Nursing Home  in Crowley.
 Father Clint Trahan officiated at the services.
Survivors include one son, Kerry and wife, Sheran, Doucet of Duson; and one daughter, Judy Ikbal of Mills River, N.C.; five grandchildren, Kerry “Scotty” Doucet, Jr. of Duson, Nicole Rimmer of Crowley, Stephanie Touchet of Duson, Sufia Ikbal of Mills River, N.C. and Geoffrey Ikbal of Mills River, N.C.; five great-grandchildren, Kerry “Trey” Doucet, Kyle Christopher Doucet, Summer Begneaud, Peyton Touchet, Tristen Cole Doucet;  one great- great-grand daughter, Alonah Faith Doucet; and one sister, Barbara Gaspard of Crowley.
Ms. Dean was preceded in death by her husband, Phillip Belaire, Jr.; one grandson, Cole Henry Rimmer; two great- grandsons, Collin and Myles Touchet’ her parents, Adolph “Bob” and Armine D. Matte; two brothers, Vinest and Wallace “Black” Matte; and two sisters, Laura Miller and Hazel Leon.
Visitation was Monday, February 8, 2010, from 10:00 a.m. until 10:00 p.m. then Tuesday, 8:00 a.m. until time of services.  
A Rosary was recited Monday at 7:00 p.m.  at the Funeral Home Chapel in Rayne.  
Burial was  in  St. Joseph Church Cemetery #2, Rayne,  under the direction of Duhon Funeral Home, L.L.C. of Rayne.
