Funeral Services will be Thursday, March 25, 2010 at 2:00 pm at Assumption Church in Mire, La.  for Verna B. Veronie, 63 who passed away Friday, March 19, 2010 at 5:30 pm at Regional Medical Center of Acadiana in Lafayette.  Officiating the services will be Very Rev. Msgr. Russell Harrington.

Survivors include her husband of forty eight years, Willie Veronie of Duson, Two Sons, David & wife Alida Veronie of Henderson, La. and Leonard & wife Elaine Veronie of Duson.  Four Grandchildren, Renee Hayes, Timothy Trahan, Vanessa Veronie and Toby Veronie.  Three Great Grandchildren, Destiny, Coby and Jude Hayes. 

Mrs. Verna is preceded in death by her daughter, Vanessa Ann Veronie, parents, Leonard and Lydia Bourque, Four Sisters, Bertha Bellaire, Evelyn LeBlanc, Rita Romero and Laura Mae Hebert, Four Brothers, Clifton Bourque and Wilbert Bourque,  J.L. Bourque and Noah Bourque.

Visitation will be Wednesday, March 24, 2010 at 10:00 am till 10:00 pm then Thursday, 8:00 am till time of Services.  A Rosary will be recited at 7:00 in the evening on Wednesday in the funeral home chapel in Rayne.  Burial will be in the Assumption Church Cemetery in Mire, La.  under the direction of Duhon Funeral Home, L.L.C. in Rayne.  Please send Personal Condolences to www.duhonfuneralhome.com
