Acadia Parish Registrar of Voters Billie J. Meyer invites parish residents to come in and check on their voter registration status, register to vote, familiarize themselves with the voting machines and tour the new office during Voter Education Week this week.

Informational packets containing voting information, statistics, maps and Election Calendars will be available.

Similar present-ations will be held at various high schools and other locations throughout the parish.

Although voter education is emph-asized this week, Registrar Meyer believes that voter education is conducted each and every day.

The Acadia Registrar's office has moved into the old sheriff's annex building on the courthouse grounds. The address is 568 NW Court Circle,
