The bride-elect is the daughter of Ricky Venable of Mire and Wanda Venable of Church Point.
The prospective groom is the son of Jimmy and Norellie Fontenot of Rayne.
Hosting the brunch were Joy Fontenot, Pat Fontenot, Diana Duhon, Liz Guidry, Sandy Elkins, Judy Puissegur, Linda Guilbeaux, Kristina Lavergne, Kathy Richard and Bonnie Johnson.
Guests were treated to breakfast casseroles, cream puffs, French toast, fruit tray, pepper jelly dip, donut holes, brownies, ham and hash brown breakfast casserole, and a variety of beverages.
In the reception area, the decor included a centerpiece of Easter lilies, gerber daisies, roses and poise, providing a delicate backdrop for the refreshments.
For the special occasion, Lauren wore a sleeveless shealth in a new spring sandria color.
The honoree’s mother wore a colbalt blue, bias pleated dress, while the groom-elect’s mother selected a two-piece copper suit topped with a beaded bolero jacket.
Approximately 60 guests were in attendance for the courtesy from numerous points of Louisiana and Texas.
Special guests in attendance were the prospective groom’s grandmothers, including Rose Fontenot and Merella McFalls, both of Rayne.
Lauren and TJ will be married on Saturday, July 17, 2010 during an afternoon ceremony at St. Joseph Catholic Church, followed by a reception at the Rayne Civic Center.
