Darrell and Lisa Soileaux of Rayne are announcing the engagement and forthcoming marriage of their daughter, Leslee Ann, to Samuel Major Gagliano, son of Paul and Linda Gagliano of Peachtree City, Georgia. The couple will be married on Saturday, July 31, 2010 during a two o’clock afternoon Nuptial Mass at St. Joseph Roman Catholic Church, followed by a reception at The Crossing at Mervine Kahn in Rayne.

The bride-elect is the granddaughter of Lorraine and Robert Myers of Crowley, Jimmy and Peggy Smith, Sr. of Rayne, Marilynn Soileaux of Rayne and the late Elton Soileaux. A 2004 graduate of The Academy of the Sacred Heart in Grand Goteau, she attained a bachelor of arts degree in the spring of 2010 from Aquinas College in Nashville, Tenn., with a major in theology and a minor in philosophy as administered by the Dominican Sisters of the Congregation of Saint Cecilia staff.

The prospective groom is the grandson of Mr. and Mrs. Major Thompson of Alpharetta, GA and Mr. and Mrs. Carl Gagliano of Auburn, AL. He is a graduate of Oak Mountain High School in Birmingham, Ala., and then attained an A.S. of general studies from Georgia Military College in Milledgeville, GA; afterwhich, he served in Operation Iraqi Freedom. Once he returned, he attended Auburn University in Auburn, AL where he received a bachelor of arts degree in public administration as a third generation student at Auburn.

Following their wedding, the couple will reside in New Orleans where the prospective groom will be attending Loyola Law School and the bride-elect will be employed.
