Lynn was a single mother who raised, loved, and taught her two children values about life. She was not only a dedicated mother; she also took pride in her employment with the Acadia Parish School Board for numerous years. Listening to country music was one of her favorite past times; but the artist she adored the most was Kenny Chesney. Lynn will be sadly missed by her family, co-workers, and friends.
She is survived by one daughter, Amy Abshire of Crowley; one son, Ty Abshire of Crowley; her parents, Lee and Gail Vincent Abshire of Crowley; one brother, Jackie Abshire and his wife Mary; her paternal grandmother, Lunia Abshire of Crowley; two nieces, Chantell Borill, and Caroline Abshire; one nephews, Cody Abshire; two great nieces, Kristyn Abshire, and Audrey Borill; and two great-nephews, Logan Abshire, and Wyatt Borill.
