Funeral services will be held Wednesday, August 4, 2010, at 10:00 a.m. in the Duhon Funeral Home Chapel in Rayne for Emery “Butchie” Meaux, Jr. 35; his long time companion, Dana Vincent 25,and their son, Devon Meaux 8, who died Sunday August 1, 2010 at their residence in Rayne.

   Survivors include Butchie’s father, Emery Meaux, Sr. of Crowley; and three sisters, Theresa Arcemont of Broussard, Pamela Seaux of Duson, and Laurie Leger of Rayne. He was preceded in death by his mother, Amanda Menard Meaux.

 

   Dana’s survivors include her parents, Kenny and Barbra Vincent of Carencro and Debbie and Chris Turner of Lafayette; one sister, Deanna V. Helmer of Carencro; half sister, Katie Joy Vincent of Jennings; step sister, Brittany Taylor Mire of Carencro; two step brothers, Bryan J. Sonnier of Crowley, and Patrick W. Darby of Breaux Bridge; and her maternal grandparents, Patsy and Les Muller of Lafayette. She was preceded in death by her paternal grandparents, Lester and Lorena Laughlin Vincent.

 

   Devon’s survivors include his paternal grandfather, Emery Meaux, Sr. of Crowley, maternal grandparents, Kenny and Barbra Vincent of Carencro, and Debbie and Chris Turner of Lafayette; and his maternal great grandparents, Patsy and Les Muller of Lafayette. Visitation will be held Tuesday from 11:00 a.m. until 10:00 p.m. with a Rosary recited at 7:00 p.m. and Wednesday from 8:00 a.m. until time of services.

 

   Burial will be in the St. Joseph Catholic Cemetery under the direction of Duhon Funeral Home of Rayne.
