Morning Star Missionary Baptist Church will celebrate its Harvest Revival August 4-6, 2010. Reverend Donald R. Burnette, Sr. is the Pastor. Worship service begins at 7 p.m. nightly, at the church located 523 West Third Street.

The Reverend Dr. Henry L. Comeaux, Pastor of Antioch Baptist Church of Lake Arthur, Louisiana will be the revivalist for the occasion.

The theme is “Solidarity with the Savior”. The Scripture theme is Ephesains 2:14-18 and the Theme song is “More About Jesus.

On Wednesday, August 4, 2010, a Youth Rally will be held to offer an opportunity for Christian Fellowship and for any youth who would like to learn more about the love Christ offers. On Thursday, August 5 and Friday, August 6, 2010 the focus will be a Spiritual Vision that will give us an insight on how we can live spiritually.

Doctor Comeaux is a 1977 graduate of Opelousas Senior High School and holds the following degrees: Bachelor of Science in Education, Master of Arts in Administration and Supervision, Master of Arts in biblical Studies, and a PhD in Psychology. He is also certified to teach four Christian Leadership courses in the Certificate of Progress Program, certified b the Sunday School Publishing Board of the National Baptist Convention, USA, Inc. In addition, Dr. Comeaux has completed the requirements of the Seminar for Deans and Presidents to become a certified Dean of Christian Education.

Currently, Dr. Comeaux serves as General Secretary of the Seventh District Baptist Association, Staff Office Assistant in Congress of Christian Education of the Louisiana Missionary Baptist State Convention, and Pre-Registration Resolution Specialist of the National Baptist Congress of Christian Education.

He is a member of the Phi Beta Sigma Fraternity.
