In the last weeks of her life, she was surrounded and cared for by her mother, Tammy Coleman; her loving mate and friend, Danny Fortier; her three sisters, Kelly Landry, Dusti Bergeron and Jandi Duplechin; her four children, Desmond, Jasmine, Sebastian and Theresa; her grandmother, Janice Coleman; her life-long friend, Macie Zoble; and many other family members and friends.
Ashley was an avid Shar-Pei lover and will be missed by her two beloved dogs, Mrs. Pacino and little Flea Frusciante Fortier. She loved music, movies and good food and she was a fantastic cook. She loved to spend time with her friends and her family and most importantly loved spending time with her children.
She will be remembered by her huge smile, her sharp wit and her unique sense of humor and, of course, her huge heart. She was truly fun to be around and will be greatly missed.
Memorial services will be held at 6:00 p.m. Saturday, August 14, 2010, at the City of Light Church, 108 Acadian Dr. in Lafayette. Minister Judy Svendsen, a close and personal friend, will be holding the service at Ashley’s request.
Flowers can be sent to the City of Light Church on the date of service. A memorial benefit will be held August 21 at Route 92 in Youngsville in her honor.
The family would like to thank Hospice of Acadiana for all the help and support and especially Nurse Judith Crowder for her strength and her loving care of Ashley during her last weeks with us.
