Wayne and Stephanie Leger of Rayne are pleased to announce the engagement and forthcoming marriage of their daughter, Amanda Jane Leger, to Brandt Joseph Sanders, son of Scott and Patricia Sanders of Lafayette. The couple will exchange wedding vows on Friday, Oct. 8, 2010 at St. Leo IV Catholic Church in Roberts Cove, followed by a reception at Le Grand Hall of the Grand Opera House of the South in Crowley.

The bride-elect is a 2007 graduate of Notre Dame High School of Acadia Parish in Crowley and is currently employed as a surgical assistant at Acadiana Oral and Facial Surgery in Lafayette. She is the granddaughter of Bonabel D. Naquin of Baton Rouge, the late Narvil “Buck” Naquin, Dorothy O. Leger of Rayne, and the late William “Fats” Leger.

The prospective groom is a 2002 graduate of Central Catholic High School in Morgan City, and a 2008 and 2009 graduate of The University of Louisiana at Lafayette. He is currently employed as a registered nurse ay Lafayette General Medical Center. His grandparents are Jeanette F. Pichoff of Franklin, the late Rufus “R.J.” Pichoff, and Merlin and Colette Canty of Patterson.

Following their wedding, the couple plans to reside in Duson.
