Fr. Matthew Higginbotham will be officiating for the services. The family is requesting visiting hours to be held Monday from 4 p.m. to 10 p.m., Tuesday from 8 a.m. to 10 p.m. and Wednesday from 8 a.m. to the time of service. A rosary will be recited at 7 p.m. Tuesday. Interment will be in Woodlawn Cemetery.
He is survived by his wife of 14 years, Bridget Istre of Crowley; two sons, Landen Istre and Marcus Istre both of Crowley; two daughters, Katie Istre Menard and her husband, Mark of Crowley, and Taylor Hanks of Crowley; two grandchildren Brayden Istre and Ariel Menard; three brothers, Ray Istre and his wife, Margaret of Crowley, Christopher Istre and his wife, Trudy of Baytown, Texas, and Gregory Istre of Crowley; four sisters, Julia Whitehouse and her husband, Larry of Rayne, Veronica Duplichain and her husband, Alcide of Crowley, Lisa Corkin and her husband, Roy of Crowley, and Ann Istre and her companion, Sammy Phillips of Crowley; his godparents, Mr. and Mrs. Carroll Navarre and godmother Mrs. Norris Lableu; his godchildren, Nicole Simon and Jared Duplichain and many nieces and nephews..
Ravien is preceded in death by his son, Corey Istre; and his parents, Widley and Lois Istre.
Pallbearers will be Marcus Istre, Ray Istre, Christopher Istre, Gregory Istre, Joshua Corkin, Jeremy Corkin, Jared Duplichian, Charlie Morgan and Ronald Bankston.
Honorary Pallbearers will be Valmond Hano, Jason Duplichain, Nicholas Istre, Kolby Henry, Sammy Philips, Larry Whitehouse, Alcide Duplichain, Johnny Monceaux, Steven Myers, Martin Motte and Caroll Navarre.
