IOTA - It is with heavy hearts and great sadness that the family of Leroy James Fruge announces his passing on September 6, 2010 at the Jennings American Legion Hospital. He was 90. A Celebration of Life will be held at 3 p.m. in the Ardoin Funeral Home Chapel in Iota on Wednesday, September 08, 2010. Rite of Committal will follow in the Reed Cemetery in Tepetate with Deacon Gary Gaudin officiating.

Leroy serviced his country proudly in the United States Army and received the American Theater Ribbon, a Good Conduct Medal and a Victory Medal while in service. He was a retired farm laborer, but most importantly he was a beloved brother and friend survived by one brother, Lloyd Fruge of Vidor, Texas and one sister, Lennie Hindrick of China, Texas. He will be missed dearly by all who knew and loved him.

Now he rests in Heaven with his beloved parents, Asa and Louresia Brown Fruge and a brother, Melton Fruge.

At the request of the family, visitation will be held at Ardoin’s Funeral Home in Iota on Tuesday, September 07, 2010 from 2 p.m. until 10 p.m. and again on Wednesday, September 08, 2010 from 8 a.m. until time of services. A Rosary will be recited at 7 p.m. on Tuesday evening.
