Funeral services will be held at St. Joseph Catholic Church, Saturday, October 2, 2010, at 1:00 p.m. for Helen  Weber, 78, who died Wednesday, September 29, 2010, at her residence in Rayne.

Interment will be in the St. Joseph Cemetery #2, Rayne.

Surviving are her husband, John Weber of Rayne; three sons, Raphael Meche of Rayne, Alfred Weber of France, and Karl Weber of Rayne; two daughters, Susan Ezekiel of Rayne, and Charlotte Gauthier of Rayne; eight grandchildren, four great- grandchildren; and one sister, Addie Shone” LeBlanc of Austin, Texas.

She was preceded in death by one daughter-in-law, Ann Meche; parents, Simeon Brasseaux and Elise Sonnier Brasseaux; six brothers; and six sisters.

She was born Tuesday, December 22, 1931, in Cankton, daughter of the late Simeon Brasseaux and the late Elise Sonnier Brasseuax.

A Rosary will be recited Friday, October 1, 2010, at 7:00 p.m. at Gossen Funeral Home.

Friends will be received at Gossen Funeral Home, Inc., Friday, October 1, 2010, from 9:00 a.m. until 10:00 p.m. and Saturday, October 2, 2010, from 8:00 a.m. until 12:30 p.m.
