BAYTOWN, TEXAS - Florentz Mouton passed away Thursday, October 07, 2010, at a local hospital. He was born June 12, 1943, in Crowley to Morris and Lillian (Cormier) Mouton. Mr. Mouton was a supervisor and boilermaker at numerous refineries. He was a member of the Church of Christ and enjoyed working. He loved cooking, spending time with his family, watching the Astros, and listening to gospel music.

Mr. Mouton is preceded in death by his parents, one sister, and three brothers.

He is survived by his wife, Sharron Mouton, of Baytown, Texas; son, Garland Coy Mouton, of Estherwood; daughters, Anna Michelle Adkins of Estherwood, Shelly Roberts and husband, Travis Wadsworth, of Baytown, Texas Seante Potter and husband, Aric, of Baytown, Texas; mother and father-in-law, Harold and Jean Roberts; brother, Nelson Mouton; sisters, Gertie Trahan and husband, William, and Faye Pemberton and husband, Mike; grandchildren, Toyi, Chris, Tyson, Jessica, Jade, Bryce, and Dawson; numerous great grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.

The family received friends on Friday, October 08, 2010, at Crespo & Jirrels Funeral Home. A Celebration of Life was held Saturday, October 9, 2010, in the Chapel of Crespo & Jirrels, with Brodie Mouton officiating. Burial followed at Cedarcrest Cemetery.

Honoring the family as pallbearers were Richard Kassman, Leonard Newton, Morris Wayne Mouton, Randy Bertrand, Bryan Roberts, and Garland Coy Mouton. Honorary pallbearers were Maxwell Shannon and Lee Cormier.
