Jimmy served two tours in Bagdad, Iraq, and Afghanistan and retired after 20 years of service from the U.S. Marine Corp. He was awarded Good Conduct, Navy and Marine Achievements, Iraqi Campaign, Global War on Terrorism Expeditionary, Global War on Terrorism Service, National Defense Service, Armed Forces Service Medals, Sea Service Ribbons, and Navy Unit Commendation.
Rev. Jimmy Broussard will be officiating for the services.
The family is requesting visiting hours to be held Tuesday from 9 a.m. to 10 p.m. and Wednesday from 8 a.m. to the time of service. Interment will be in Estherwood Memorial Cemetery.
He is survived by his wife, Nicole Trumps and step-children Alec and Noah Duplichan of Crowley; his mother, Frances Guillory of Iota; his children, Andrew and Emily Trumps of Ohio; step-son, Michael Pharis of Arizona; sisters, Margaret Cormier of Estherwood; Stephanie Langlinais of Mermentau; and nieces and nephews, Crystal Vincent, Waylon and Paige Regan, Amber DuBois, Tiisha and C.J. Langlinais and five great nephews.
Jimmy is preceded in death by his father, Calvin Trumps.
