The family is requesting visiting hours to be held Monday from 10:30 a.m. to 10 p.m. at Ebenezer Nazarene Church and Tuesday from 8 a.m. to the time of service. Interment will be in Ebenezer Cemetery.
Mr. Morgan was born December 25, 1917 in Crowley. He graduated from Crowley High School on June 4, 1941. Mr. Morgan was a member of the U.S. Army and served during World War II. After he was honorably discharged he worked for the Louisiana Department of Transportation for 28 years. He retired on August 31, 1984.
He is survived by two sons, Wayne Morgan and his wife, Diana of Scott, and Ray Morgan and his wife Stella of Roberts Cove; eight grandchildren, Kelly Morgan, Justin Morgan, Samantha Morgan, Becky Heinzl and her companion, Kaine Jackson, Scott Heinzl and his wife, Kristen, Jesse Guidry, Mickey Morgan, and Tabatha Bridy; three great-grandchildren, Zora Jackson, Zayla Jackson, and Sadie Heinzl, his companion, Mary Lavergne, a host of nieces and nephews; and a special companion poodle, Choco.
Mr. Robert is preceded in death by his wife, Merline Faulk Morgan; his parents, Joseph and Alice Sarver Morgan; nine siblings, Paul Morgan; Willie Morgan Duhon, Marilyn Morgan Hebert, Lillian Morgan Blackburn, Jack Morgan, Laura Morgan Petry, Chester Morgan, Woodrow Morgan, and Harry Morgan; one great-grandson, Hayden Gage Jackson; and a special companion poodle, Onyx.
The pallbearers will be Justin Morgan, Scott Heinzl, Jesse Guidry, Mickey Morgan, Charlie Ashby, and Terry Petry.
